Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SSVP) Brant is looking for a friendly, reliable Retail Assistant to join our thrift store team!

🔑 What You’ll Do:
• Greet and assist customers with clothing and houseware purchases
• Restock shelves and clothing racks throughout the day
• Sort and quality-check donated items before they go on the floor
• Keep the store tidy, organized, and welcoming

👀 What We’re Looking For:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Friendly, customer-focused attitude
• Comfortable with light physical work (lifting, bending, standing)
• An eye for detail — quality control matters!
• Reliable and punctual

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable volunteer (18+) to join our team as a Furniture Department Assistant. Shifts are available Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

🔑What you’ll do:
• Price incoming furniture items
• Arrange furniture donations in the showroom
• Help customers with furniture decisions and answer questions
• Complete delivery forms for purchased items
• Set up furniture for delivery

This is a great opportunity to put your customer service and organizational skills to work while helping fund SSVP Brant’s charitable work supporting local families in need.

The SSVP Brant Thrift Store is looking for a friendly, reliable 18+ volunteer to join our team as a Saturday Cashier! This is a great opportunity to give back to your community while helping fund SSVP Brant’s charitable work supporting local families in need.

What You’ll Do:
• Operate the cash register and process customer purchases
• Provide warm, welcoming customer service
• Handle cash and debit transactions accurately
• Keep the checkout area tidy and organized
• Work alongside a friendly team of fellow volunteers

What We’re Looking for:
• A positive, people-friendly attitude
• Comfort with basic cash handling (training provided!)
• Reliability and punctuality
• Someone who enjoys being part of a team with a purpose

What’s involved:
• Lifting and carrying furniture
• Loading/unloading the SSVP delivery truck
• Working alongside a fellow volunteer

Availability needed (choose one):
•  Wednesdays, 8:15 AM – 12:00 PM
•  Saturdays, 8:15 AM – 2:00 PM

Commitment:
• One day per month

Good fit for:
Someone who’s active, doesn’t mind physical work, and wants to give back to the Brantford and County of Brant communities in a hands-on way.

Do you like being on the move and making a real difference in your community? SSVP Brant is looking for volunteer drivers to help transport furniture donations to families who need them most.

🔑What you’ll be doing:
• Driving our 20-foot automatic cube truck to pick up and deliver donated furniture and household items
• Loading and unloading items (this is a physical role — comfort lifting and moving furniture is a must)
• Working alongside a small team to get donations safely from A to B

👀What we’re looking for:
• Valid Class G driver’s license (standard Ontario license — no special certification needed)
• Driving record in good standing, with no history of criminal driving offences (e.g., impaired or dangerous driving)
• 18 years of age or older
• Comfortable driving a larger automatic vehicle
• Able to help with physical lifting and furniture handling
• Reliable and punctual, with a positive, team-oriented attitude

🕐Time commitment:
Choose what works for you — one Saturday a month, or one morning a week.
